As the Ancient Chinese Proverb says “If we don’t change the direction we’re going, we’re likely to end up where we’re headed.”

– Richard Bach
This book had a very profound effect on me when I was 9yrs old. I resonated with Jonathan’s journey and understood what my life would be. It is so much more than being a seagull. It is about a journey into a higher level of consciousness and going beyond the basics of food and shelter; of overcoming the limitation in both mind and physical body to reach those levels. Our physical self is a manifestation of our thoughts. Flight is indeed the metaphor that makes the story soar. Ultimately this is a fable about the importance of seeking a higher purpose in life, even if your flock, tribe, or neighbourhood finds your ambition threatening. By not compromising his higher vision, Jonathan gets the ultimate payoff: transcendence. Ultimately, he learns the meaning of love and kindness, seeing the potential in everyone.
– Ron Miguel Ruiz
The Four Agreements are very simple but very profound. To embrace and live each of the Four Agreements is to find yourself experiencing personal freedom–possibly as never before. Written from his heart, the Four Agreements has made profound changes in my life. I have given the book to many people, who, only reading it once, have initiated life changes. My personal experience with Don Miguel is that no matter how little you are exposed to him; your heart will always be touched.
– Oriah Mountain Dreamer
“The Invitation” is a declaration of intent, a map into the longing of the soul, the desire to live passionately, face-to-face with ourselves and skin-to-skin with the world around us, to settle for nothing less than what is real.” Her poem inspires me every day.
– Eckhart Tolie
This book is a reminder that the path to happiness lies in focusing on being present in the “now” moment. It transformed my perspective and continues to teach me every time I pick it up! All we have is this moment – no past, no future. Only NOW! Live IT!
– Louise L. Hay
In need of healing in any area of your life? This book will support you to get there. It operates from the premise “the thoughts we choose to think are the tools we use to paint the canvas of our lives” and guides you in changing limiting beliefs & patterns.
– James Redfield
Are you beginning your spiritual exploration? This is the place to begin. The first, and still one of the most profound books in awakening spiritual energy and offering new insight into life. A journey you’ll not soon forget.
– Deepak Chopra
Here Chopra has synthesized ancient Eastern wisdom into a set of spiritual principles to live by today. Deceptively simple, this book resonates with great truth.
– Caroline Myss
Based on the work of St. Teresa of Avila, a Christian mystic, Caroline speaks to the heart of our desire to know God and ourselves more deeply and provides specific guidelines through this often challenging, and ultimately beautiful process. If you are called to know your soul, this book is a must.
– Shatki Gawain
One of the books that influenced my spirituality the most. This book offers a great understanding of the creative power of the universe. She gives clear explanations and practical guidance for developing your intuition and using your creativity to the fullest. The rewards are personal fulfillment and aliveness.
– Marianne Williamson
Her take-home message is that we must submit not to our egos, which tell us we are separate from God, but instead surrender to God, of whom we are all a part. While she does refer to all minds being joined and describes the world we know as a dream from which we must awaken, she differs from other New Thought and New Age thinkers by balancing an assumption that the negative things of this world are illusory with the fact that they feel real to us and that we must take practical steps to overcome them.
– Debbie Ford
We know the shadow by many names: alter ego, lower self, the dark twin, repressed self, id. Carl Jung once said that the shadow “is the person you would rather not be.” But even if you choose to hide your dark side, it will still cast a shadow, according to author Debbie Ford. Rather than reject the seemingly undesirable parts of ourselves, Ford offers advice on how to confront our shadows. Only by owning every aspect of yourself can you achieve harmony and “let your own light shine,” she explains. “The purpose of doing shadow work, is to become whole. To end our suffering. To stop hiding ourselves from ourselves. Once we do this we can stop hiding ourselves from the rest of the world.”
– Debbie Ford
In The Secret of the Shadow, Debbie Ford goes to the next level in probing “the dark side,” the shadow aspects, beliefs, and behaviors that hold the clues to our greatest selves. In this eye-opening and inspiring book, Debbie exposes a great paradox: On one hand, there are the limiting stories that we cling to, keeping us in repetitive cycles of suffering. And on the other hand, there is the gold – the life-changing wisdom and gifts – that can only be found in the dark.
– Dr. Wayne Dyer
The simple fact is that we live in a world that is rushed along, forgetting ourselves, trying to achieve goals without any letting go of ego along the way. If I had to summarize this book in one word it would be “peace.” There is something about the writing which demands that you slow down, focus for a moment on the present, and take just a few minutes to detach from the chaos of your life into a true “moment of Zen.” Keep it by your bed, read a chapter before going to sleep or when you first wake up and notice what begins to change in your life.
– Dr. Wayne Dyer
This book explores intention-not as something you do-but as an energy you’re a part of. We’re all intended here through the invisible power of intention. This is the first book to look at intention as a field of energy that you can access to begin co-creating your life with the power of intention.
– Colin Tipping
This book gives each of us a whole new way of seeing life. Using Radical Forgiveness, we can begin to let go of the barriers we have all created. Using this wisdom and insight, we stop blaming others for our situations. As a result, things actually change around us.
– Paulo Coelho
This is an amazing book. It is a story of a young man who has a dream of hidden treasure. It is a book that alludes to that fact that all of us have a purpose and a dream. Yet many of us settle and give up our dream, and lose our passion for life. In this book it is stated again and again that each of us has our own Personal Legend, a quest; “When you pursue your personal legend the universe will conspire with you to make it happen.” You will follow Santiago on his adventure and during the process be challenged to think about your goals and dreams and what you would have to do to pursue them.
– Dan Millman
A beautiful film on Dan Millman’s personal journey into a life beyond illusions… from a young ambitious and very ego-centric athlete soaking in pride to the humbling experience that gave him the courage to conquer his inner demons… this film is a brilliant portrayal of letting go of who we think we are (identity, ego, intellect, etc) so we can claim the bliss of the moment.
I found this to be an inspiring, thoughtful, and extremely interesting take at the new paradigm of science, quantum mechanics. This movie explains in non-technical terms the philosophical ramifications of the theory (almost universally accepted) and how it is relevant to our everyday lives–even non-physicists. If it does nothing for you it does sure make for interesting discussions with friends.
– Dr. Wayne Dyer
It’s a simple movie, deep with meaning. All of the key characters in the film experience what Dr. Dyer describes as a “quantum moment”. It opens the door to transformation for them as they recognize and begin to live “the music inside” that Dr. Dyer teaches we were all born with but too often push aside while we are busy living our lives.
This film gives penetrating insights into Louise’s fascinating personal story; and shows how her views on self-esteem, abundance, and the metaphysical causes behind physical ailments were developed. It also reveals how she applied these concepts to her own emotional, spiritual, and professional life.
